Let's Travel

Helen has been a travel agent for 34 years. She is passionate about travel and she feels both honor and excitement to be able to share her passion with others. Over the years, she as helped people travel through all of their milestones. While the pandemic has been a very trying time for all, it has hit the travel industry particularly hard. She has spent downtime educating herself on new destinations, clientele, processes and networking. She has been providing valuable information and giving presentations on the constantly changing policy of travel during Covid, providing tips on how to plan your travel, staying healthy while travelling and providing resources.

In-Person Meetings

Rotary Club of San Jose Silicon Valley will have it's first in-person meeting at Kris Myers' house this Friday 12:00P - 1:00P. Our speaker Helen Baldivinos will join us via ZOOM. Members who will not join us in person will still be able to ZOOM in.Lou Bash has spent quite a few vcolunteer hours keeping us tech savvy for this in-person/virtualmeeting.

We have not been able to meet in person for over a year so hopefully we will be able to see a lot of friendly faces!

Due to covid restrictions still in place, and to keep things simple for Kris, please note the following:
1. Each person attending will be responsible for bringing their own food and beverage.
2. We will wear masks during the meeting and social distance as much as possible as not everyone in the club has been fully vaccinated.

Clean Creeks Coalition

April 24, 2021 The Rotary club of San Jose Silicon Valley joined with the Clean Creek Coalition For a work party on the Los Gatos River And nearby parking lot. Some of our club members helped with this effort!! Thanks Carol Goedde, Janette Rosales and Lou Bash!

Dates will be published when additional clean ups are scheduled. Anyone interested should contact Janette Rosales.

Holiday Project at Grant School

Little Free LibrariesCAPTION:Elf costumes are not required, but are loved by the kids, young and old.]

The final report was submitted and approved so the Foundation will be prepared to submit another grant request for DDF Funds.

These funds are used to provide a gift bag (containing a book, toy and candy cane) cookies and a class photo to every student at Grant Elementary School during the Christmas season.

All club members are asked to participate with bagging the items, delivering the boxes, handing out cookies, or the most exciting part of the project, handing our gifts to the students.

Hunger at Home

May 5, 2021 The Rotary Club of San Jose Silicon Valley members volunteered for food distribution to those in need in San Jose. The four members, Brian and Steph Bianco, Kris Myers, and Carol Goedde (President-Elect) were busy filling boxes with fruit & vegetables.

May 29, 2021 Our club will be participating again on May 29, 2021. Volunteers who may not be able to stay for a full shift, are welcome to contribute 2 hours. Anyone interested should contact Brian Bianco to get on the list and receive general instructions
